Impact Mission

The Centre for Technology and Global Affairs has three core missions.

Shape scholarly debates and opinions in the interdisciplinary study of the impact of new technology on international relations, government and society.

Support and train researchers and analysts in this area, with a special emphasis on integrating technological issues into political science.

Provide leadership in creating new knowledge on practical problems affecting the welfare and security of governments, citizens and private enterprises.

Influence major policy decisions and opinions in these arenas.

Create a forum for sustained discussion on the political and societal impact of technology by organizing conferences, workshops, and executive sessions with representatives from leading technology companies and public bodies.

Build active partnerships with a selection of representatives from technology companies, national governments, international institutions and external research bodies.
