Robert Gorwa

Robert Gorwa is a DPhil student with interests that lie at the intersection of the Internet, international relations, and political theory, with a focus on complex governance and policy questions that involve the interplay of government, corporate, and public interests. His current research at looks at the politics of large technology companies, as well as the contemporary social media automation and manipulation ecosystem. His public writing on technology and politics has been featured in Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, Quartz, Wired UK, and other outlets.

He holds a MSc from the Oxford Internet Institute and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
