Marcel Stolz

Marcel first became aware of security and defence matters during his military service in the Swiss army, serving as an officer (first lieutenant) in the electronic operations unit. During his Bachelor’s and Master’s studies at the University of Bern, he gained insights into political work as member of the university’s TUX party, discussing topics such as privacy. He then worked with Swisscom, Switzerland’s national phone operator, in the Big Data Mobility Insights Squad.

Marcel's current interest lies in combining his technical knowledge with his interests in politics and history. He explores aspects of state and net neutrality, how it can be implemented in cyberspace, and what capabilities a neutral nation should build up in cyberspace.
